Dr. O’Sullivan graduated from University College Cork in 1992. After obtained subspecialist training in urogynaecology and advanced gynaecologic endoscopy in Sydney, Australia, Dr. O’Sullivan returned to Ireland where he has held consultant posts at the National Maternity, Rotunda and the Mater Hospitals in Dublin. He is currently a consultant obstetrician & gynaecologist at St. Luke’s Hospital Kilkenny where he is responsible for the undergraduate medical education of visiting RCSI Senior Cycle 1 students. His special areas of interest include advanced gynaecologic endoscopy, including laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. Together with Professor Walter Prendiville, Dr. O’Sullivan runs Ireland’s only advanced practical training programme in gynaecologic endoscopy, based at the RCSI Unit at the Coombe Women’s Hospital.
